To strengthen pragmatic exchanges between Shanwei Arbitration Commission and Jintang Law Firm, improve the quality and efficiency of civil and commercial dispute resolution services, and boost the development of a law-based business environment in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, a delegation led by Minister Zhang Jianfeng from Shanwei Arbitration Commission and Shanwei Shenshan International Arbitration Institute visited the law firm for exchange on 8 April 2026.

Lawyer Ming Can and Lawyer Du Zhong, Directors of the Management Committee; Lawyer Wang Panfeng, Firm Director; Partners Lawyer Zhong Yu and Lawyer Jiang Zhudou; as well as young lawyer representatives Lawyer Long Jianyou and Lawyer Zou Yi warmly received the visitors and held a symposium.

Prior to the symposium, Minister Zhang Jianfeng and his entourage toured the office premises to learn about the overall operation of the firm.

At the opening of the symposium, Lawyer Jiang Zhudou extended a warm welcome to Minister Zhang Jianfeng and gave a detailed introduction to the firm’s development history, business layout, team development and ongoing practices. Minister Zhang spoke highly of Jintang Law Firm’s integrated operation and management, specialised practice layout, case-handling philosophy and remarkable achievements in civil and commercial legal services.

Subsequently, Ms. Li Dongxiao from Shanwei Arbitration Commission delivered a presentation titled From the Rule of Law to Service Delivery — Wisdom and Solutions of Shanwei Arbitration Commission. She elaborated on the commission’s development profile, competitive strengths, progress in digital arbitration construction and outcomes in dispute resolution services. She emphasized that arbitration, as part of national strategies, diverts commercial disputes and effectively eases the caseload pressure on courts. Furthermore, arbitral awards may be recognized and enforced in contracting states under the New York Convention, delivering solid legal protection for enterprises going global.

Minister Zhang Jianfeng acknowledged the firm’s professional competence and sense of social responsibility. He noted that leveraging the geographic advantages of Shanwei and the Shenshan Special Cooperation Zone, Shanwei Arbitration Commission keeps optimizing case procedures and advancing information-based arbitration. It adopts rapid acceptance, swift tribunal formation and efficient award issuance, and maintains an enforcement service team to substantially boost case-handling efficiency and service quality, striving to deliver high-quality, efficient and convenient dispute resolution channels for domestic and overseas parties. He expressed hopes to deepen cooperation with Jintang Law Firm to jointly advance high-quality development of arbitration.

During the open discussion, participating partners and young lawyer representatives shared reflections from their case practice. Both sides engaged in in-depth dialogue on common challenges facing the arbitration sector including arbitration efficiency and enforcement difficulties. They exchanged extensive views on raising arbitration service efficiency, streamlining case procedures and delivering better legal services for all market entities, reaching a number of pragmatic consensus.
