Representative Cases

Supply Chain Finance & Non-performing Asset Cases:

  1. Represented an enterprise under Huaqiang Group in the lawsuit against Xinjiang Jifeng Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. Jifeng Company faced a wave of debt claims after its failed IPO and resulting capital chain rupture and insolvency, with debts amounting to more than one billion RMB (reported by major national media including Sina and Tencent). While numerous creditors including banks and credit cooperatives claimed their rights and held security interests, Lawyer Zeng assisted the client enterprise in obtaining priority ownership of steel products worth over one hundred million RMB, fully safeguarding the client’s legitimate rights and interests.

  2. In the litigation of Huaqiang Supply Chain v. Tai’an Coal Industry, despite unfavorable jurisdiction clauses, jurisdiction was changed through negotiation. The case was won in Shenzhen, and full payment including liquidated damages of more than 20 million RMB was successfully enforced.

  3. In enforcement proceedings of Xinlikang Supply Chain against Meisaida, Lawyer Zeng secured full recovery for Xinlikang Supply Chain even when Meisaida was insolvent.

  4. In the contract dispute of Huaqiang Logistics v. CNOOC, all parallel similar claims against CNOOC were dismissed. Lawyer Zeng obtained a favorable judgment for Huaqiang Logistics and froze assets exceeding one hundred million RMB to fully protect the client’s interests.

  5. Handled the first factoring case heard by Shenzhen Intermediate People’s Court in accordance with the Civil Code and achieved a satisfactory outcome.

  6. Represented a state-owned enterprise in a series of disputes against Shenzhen沃特玛 (Shenzhen Waterma) involving claims over one hundred million RMB with favorable results; represented China Construction Bank Shenzhen Branch in a batch of financial loan disputes involving billions of RMB and achieved satisfactory outcomes.

  7. Obtained favorable judgment in the contract dispute of Huaqiang Logistics v. CNOOC.

  8. Represented China Construction Bank Shenzhen Branch in multiple financial loan dispute cases involving billions of RMB with satisfactory outcomes.

  9. Led the merger and acquisition of a mining enterprise in Fujian. After successful completion of the M&A, he continued to provide legal services to the mining enterprise and facilitated its resumption of normal production and operation.

Criminal Cases:

  1. Case of intentional homicide committed by Mao. The legal team secured understanding from the victim’s family, and the defendant was finally sentenced to four years and six months of fixed-term imprisonment.

  2. Case of intentional injury committed by Wang. Understanding was obtained within three days upon retention, and bail pending trial was granted to Wang on the ninth day after engagement.

  3. Case of illegal business operation committed by Yang. Despite the involved amount reaching more than 5 million RMB, Lawyer Zeng secured a non-prosecution decision due to insufficient evidence.

  4. Case of counterfeiting registered trademarks committed by Xu. With the involved amount of over 700,000 RMB, the defendant was finally granted suspended sentence.
